The draft page

The draft page gathers the draft’s planner, access list, approvers, and history. Everything you do here is invisible in the live planner until you publish.

The draft planner

The draft’s planner has week, month, and year views like the regular one — but every event you create belongs to the draft. The Open live planner link takes you back to the shared plan for comparison.

Access and approvers

• Access is granted to people or groups; the creator and administrators always have access.
• Approvers are the signature chain: if the draft has approvers, all of them must sign before publishing unlocks. Without approvers, the owner can publish directly.

The history logs everything — creation, changes, access grants, signatures, publishing, and notifications.

Publishing

Publish draft first shows the picture: how many events are ready, and how many are blocked by conflicts with live events in the same room and time. The conflicts must be resolved — move the event in the draft, or clear it in live — before the set can publish in one step.

On publishing you can notify participants: everyone called who has schedule-change notifications on hears about the new events.

Diff against live

With the GrandPlanner module on, the draft also gets diff, cherry-pick, and conflict tabs against the live plan — useful when live moved while the draft sat waiting. See Scenarios.
