The group page

The group page edits one group: metadata at the top, the member list below, and the permissions panel at the bottom.

Members and heads

Add members from the people list, and set the role per member: Member or Head. Heads automatically inherit extended rights for their group — viewing and updating members’ profiles, contacts, and reservations — without individual grants. Members can also be marked as group admins.

The last head

Removing or demoting a group’s last head drops the head rights for everything the group covers — runorder asks for confirmation before it happens.

Permissions

Permissions granted to the group apply to every member, and can be scoped. Use group permissions for anything that follows a team — easier to maintain than individual grants, and membership in and out of the group tidies the permissions by itself.
