Background jobs

Admin → Background jobs lists the heavy work runorder does outside the page click: a people import, an events import, a schedule import from Theatron, or the export of the whole organisation before a deletion. You see your own jobs — the ones you started — the latest 50, newest first.

Reading a row

Each row shows kind, status, progress, start and finish. Status runs from queued through running to done, partial or failed. Progress counts rows processed out of rows total, with the error count beside it; an error message shows under the row when the job stopped.

Click the kind to reach the surface the job belongs to. An import opens the import wizard at the right step, and an organisation export opens the download.

Running a job again

An import still queued and not yet started carries a Run now button. It runs the job in the foreground and reloads the list when it finishes, or when it fails. Exports cannot be started from here.

The page is open to administrators only, and never shows anyone else’s jobs.
