Placing events on the planner

BASE Planner

The planner shows events across rooms by week, month, or year. Use the view toggle in the toolbar to switch.

Placing a one-off event

Click an empty cell to create an event without a template. A side panel opens where you fill in timing, room, type, attendees, and notes.

Tip

For repeated patterns — rehearsals, performances — create an event template under Admin → Templates instead. Templates are faster to place and keep formatting consistent.

Arming a template

In the Quick-plan panel on the right of the week view, click Arm. Then click any cell to drop the template’s start/end times into place. The panel pins to the top of the week view as long as a template is armed.

Swap templates at any time, or press Esc to disarm.

Room conflicts

Room overlaps are flagged inline with a red edge. You can override with Place anyway if the conflict is intentional — for example a get-in rehearsal borrowing into the next production’s break.

Overrides are audited

Every conflict override is written to the audit log (Admin → Audit log) with a timestamp and the user who overrode it.
